The easy rig is great for larger cruising boats, a bit cumbersome for the little ones.  I had it on the early proas, but was not very happy with the work involved in setting it up or the difficulty in getting the jib setting well for racing.  .  No reason why you could not try one, but the schooner should be a better option, I think.

Rob,

I wonder if you could over come the luffing by using a single easy rig
mast with foresail bigger than mainsail?
I notice letting off the aft sheet lessens the luffing up.
Was there some major reason for not as I can see puting the easy rig
on Elementarry, were you wanting to try that?
