The Harrigami is a smaller boat than the Harry and a fair big bigger than Elementarry. It was originally designed with a trailerable folding boat in mind but we haven't had the time to develop a folding system we are happy with. People compare any folding boat with Farrier's trimarans which are very easy and convenient, and very expensive. We can't use this method even if we wanted to as our beams are far longer. We are trying to keep Harryproas affordable and simple so dropped the Harrigami design for now. Anybody wanting a non folding Harrigami can still build one.

I am toying with the idea of a kit Harry. This would have multichine hulls made from precut DuFlex panels. Very easy to build and light but materials cost would be higher. I'm interested what you guys think of this idea.

Regards,
Mark

Robert and Hardy andall,

Yeah the Harrigami is in between ant 10.5 in between 12 and 7.5 is definitely smaller than Harry. WW is 8m compared to the 8.5 and extended 9m Harry. I think people wanting more dry comfortable small cruising could go with this. There is space in SideCar to sleep comfortably but then the gear needs to be moved out of the way, the space under neath is not so accessable as you need to roll your bedding off the top and reach down. The place gets messy and dirty very quick. I suppose a short there and back weekend or long weekend, but I have stayed on board while at Maylands and most of the time since and have a lot of cleaning and washing to do when I get back to Mandurah. Incidently I am not sailing today as S/SE - S/SW. Tomorrow better SE 10-15knts. More offshore, calmer sea.
I find wishing I had the removeable and interchangeable ulls so One could take a shot at high speed sailing, flying a hull and stuff. There were no plans suggesting how to temp attach, bolts I guess. You get two boats for one. Rob will give me a go soon hopefully on his.
By the way I was calling Hurry up the Transatlantic/Pac design, I was talking about The 50 foot single hander I thought it was called Hurry Up, but I see its the Harrigami - which is another two boats for one. I'm starting to like this idea of Harrigami, not hat I go for folding and trailiing, more of an antifoul and anchor man, but I like to start of small and cheap and adventure a bit. Wonder when that could happen. Need to smarten up Side Car if passing it on to someone else.
What is happening to original Harrigami? Seemed operational in the last photos that was 2 years ago, Is he new owner been using it?
