G'Day Rob,

I'll want the minimum thickness, for the mast male mould which needs to bend around and not be too strong. 2 sheets.
Plus one sheet of 8-12mm thickness, for later on when the boat is out again for the under bridge-deck storage material.
Is that coming from East?

Thanks
Doug

G'day,

Happy to get it for you.  What thickness, and how much?

The original concept of the Transpac boat changed as we decided to do some of the Aus races (Hobart and Bris Gladstone would be great, we will see how things progress) with crew before we go, and for Katy and I to cruise back from Hawaii.   We also wanted to see how the ww hulls would look if they were built as kits.  So the ww hull I built has been replaced with a Harrigami ww hull which will be built as a foam cored Duflex kit from ATL.    Not sure what I will do with the carbon/Polycore ww hull, but will probably stick it on when I get the boat over here.

Regards,

Rob

Hi Rob,

I was in Boating Hardware today asking about polycore. Still getting back to me on how much. Would you want to get it for me?
I thought you said the other day that you were going for foam /glass panels - what hull was that?

Thanks
Doug

G'day,
Transpac ww hull is 8mm thick.  There is a backing and a barrier on both sides of the honeycomb.  All three are very well bonded.    Vac bagging is unnecessary, unlike with foam, and core/laminate bond is extremely good.  It is also about half the price of foam for same weight.  see http://www.polycore-australia.com.au/

What thickness for what?

regards,

Rob
