G'day,

I have just finished the drawings for a 60'/18m charter proa for
Seabattical Charters. www.seabbatical.com 4 queen size bunks (2 of
them walk around) in seperate cabins, with en suites. All the ww hull
accommodation on one level with the machinery below the floor. A very
simple build technique (6 flat panels for the ww hull and saloon, 3
for the leeward, 1 for each beam) with minimal glassing and fairing
post table. The materials for the beams, hulls, saloon and structural
bulkheads weigh 2,000 kgs/4,500 lbs. The fitout is all done at floor
level so it should proceed quickly. Schooner rigged with liftable
electric motors mounted on the beam hung rudders, it should be an
interesting craft. All going well, this is the first of 4 boats for
Seabbatical. If the price is as low as it looks to be, it could be
the first of many.

We now need someone to build it, starting later this year. Proximity
to the Caribbean (ie not China, Thailand or India) is important. It
would be good if the builder had vaccuum, infusion and KSS or other
panel techniques experience, but none of these are essential as I will
be there for at least the first part of the build and can show them
how.

If anyone knows of a builder who may be able to do this, please let me know.

regards,

Rob
