G;day Rob,

At highpoint timbers to check price - 8mm x 40mm  is $1.21 per metre.

This is not too much higher than about 4-5 years ago. So is there likely a cost benefit for kiri or nor kiri? Understand weihgt is more than polycore - would need tri-axial cloth though for hull if with polycore.

Lost wind on sail, got fed up so turned back early. No surf on beach as goes from 2-3 metres up to the shore so no breakers. Coarser beach with some shells, and 4WDs.

No problem putting smaller ww hulls on bigger lw hulls. Easy enough
to change the accommodation, although harrigami had cockpit for 4 and
small doubles/big singles so not much to change. Price is $3,000 less
the price of your El plans, plus gst. Great that you are doing some
sailing, wish I was.. Did you sleep onboard? At anchor or on the
beach? How far south did you go?

Two easy rigs are probably more hassle than they are worth, but you
are welcome to try. By the way, I am ordering some Polycore next
week. If you want to share the freight, let me know.

regards,

Rob
