Infusion epoxy is available, check with the Gougeons or System Three.  I was president of System Three Australia for a while.  Huge company,staff consisted of me and a part time storeman.  I find epoxy is nicer to work with, but slower to cure.  It also doesn't stink.  Vinylester is cheaper, does not affect your skin.  Both are fine for boat building.  Easy enough to stuff up either one, do some tests first. 

Windsurfer rigs come in sizes to 12 sqm.  Robert Cateran suggested a schooner rig option which makes sense and is easy enough to do.

The rig on Craigslist looks perfect.  Buy that and I will buy one or two of the sails from you.

No problem with sending you extra plans, as long as you don't build from them.  Hope to have a drawing of the bigger version this weekend, will draw the plans for both next week.  I hope to keep ahead of you (building the rudder shafts this weekend as well) so there may be some adjustments to the plans, but they will be minor.

Brilliant!  I will change the name when i update the drawing.  Dave is an incredibly knowledgable guy, and harriette would be an excellent trainer if he would build a 20 sqm kite (40 is the smallest they currently do, and it is a challenge on Elementarry)

Gardner, I appreciate that this is not what you were expecting, but
once I had the rig and rudders sorted, it became the boat for my
daughter and her mates for next summer and anyone else who wants to
experience proas or simple building without forking out to much money

It will scale up to whatever size windsurfer rig (let me know mast
length and sail area) you care to put on it, and for the same price i
am happy to sell you, or any other of our more substantial members
the plans for an extended version. I am not particularly confident
about the rudders with a maxi rig and big crew so you may end up with
fixed rudders. Having said which, it should be just a problem of
wrapping more tow round it so I am very tempted to build one for
Elementarry and see how it works.
