Hi all,

Ok, thanks to all the great feedback I have gotten, I have made some adjustments and uploaded a new set of drawings for the containerizabe harryproa (what a mouthful! I need a better name!)

The masts are now in 2 pieces, with slightly longer booms, to increase the sail area from under 500 sq ft to about 660 sq ft.

The lw hull is harrowed, and the single bunks are on a shelf that overhangs the lw hull for 1 ft to ww. This makes the lw hull smaller, and i think it will protect the entrance down into the bunks from spray more.

The rudders are switched around to kick up at the rudder blade, which allows me to have cable steering useable whent eh rudders are up or down.

I calculated preliminary weights and lengthed the ww hull to 28 ft to help carry. The hulls themselves look like they will weigh about 1200 lbs for the lw and 900 lbs for the windward. Adding in the rig and basic machinery in the ww hull, I think the total will be about 3000 dry. With crew, dinghy and a normal supplies, I expect it to sail at typically 4000 lbs, but the designed displacement is 5200 lbs, so there is plenty of headroom for cruising.

The Bruce number at its typical sailing weight is 1.6, so it won't be a record breaking racer, but I think the performance should be quite peppy.

Oh, yes, it should still fit into a container.

Keep that feedback coming!
