Thanks Rob,

I have been concerned why mine weighs so much more than the latest harry on the web site and tried a new layout very similar to that one; 2 doubles in the ww hull, nothing in the lw hull. To maintain the ability to contract to 7.5' beam, I overlapped the whole ww hull between the crossbeams onto the lw hull, giving the lw hull between the crossbeams just a 2' freeboard, which I could do because of the schooner rig.

Those changes look like they save 300-400 pounds on the weight and put empty hull weight estimates in line with the listed weight for the harry on the harryproa site. My estimates do not include the crossbeams or rig or rudders or any interior outfitting, so the 2 lbs/sq ft I am using probably overestimates the hull weight, to help compensate for the things I am not counting.

Anyway, I think I prefer the layout I posted, with 1 double in the ww and 2 singles in the lw hull. It has a touch more room in the cockpit and the galley is larger. The booms are easier to reach for reefing and I think 1 double and 2 singles is a more flexible sleeping arrangment, but the other layout is lighter and has 2 doubles in the same hull with the head, so if anyone is interested in the lighter version, I can send or post that layout as well.

Sounds great to me. And to my wife, who thought of most of the other names.
More importantly, it looks prett good as well.
