G'day,

Tge firther from the mast bulkhead the better, but a 50mm hole won't be a big problem, as long as it does not go through any large amount of fore and aft glass.  Add 1 x 200mm dia layer of 600 db, then 1 x  150mm and 1 x 100 mm each rotated 60 degrees from the previous to take the laods.  Make sure the exposed core is well sealed before the fitting is installed.

WW hull escape hatch goes under one of the bunks. Ensure it is can be opened from both sides, in the dark, with numb fingers.

regards,
Rob

Hi Rob ,

Can I make holes thru the LW hull for plumbing etc next to mast
bulkhead? I want to make a 50mm dia hole close to mast bulkhead
preferably where the walkway is. The area is strucurally critical I
suppose. Should I make reinforcements around the hole?
What is the right place for WW-hull escape hatch?

Regards,

Arttu
