I assume that more weight in the ends makes for a greater angular
momentum and this would increase the pitching range. The greater
angular inertia at the start of a pitching movement may have less
benefit as the force due to buoyancy lift is relatively large, the
limiting factor being duration.
Like the thoughts on reverse bows.
