I think you are too concerned abought bending mold to curve.  Even with 2" I do not think you will have a problem but you can always put some kerf cuts on inside of curve to allow it to flex more.   You just put some packing tape over it to cover the cuts, it does not need to be a finished surface as it will be sanded and filled with adhesive of some kind to bond deck to hull.  Whatever you do make a small test panel of joint before you commit to building full size boat.

Good point. I have sent an email to the manufacturer of a line of
pourable rubbers for mold making, with many densities, explaining what
I am trying. If they have something as stiff as a pencil eraser or so,
that might maintain its shape.

I am sure that 1/2 - 3/4" molds flex, but Rob is talking about 2-8"
radius. I am not sure I see a 2" radius flexing much!
