You only need to taper one of the three edges of each beam end. If you have beams at 15 degrees then on the WW hull the one edge edge closest to center would have a 15 degree taper and on the LW hull the edge facing the ends of the hull would have 15degree taper. The end result would make it easier to get a tight fit than if the end of beams are parallel ! If beam ends are parallel then you would need a clearance fit to get beams in but with taper you would have a clearance fit on top and bottom but the vertical edges would be a press fit till the taper is tight. You would have to make the socket deeper than the beam end or trim the beam end so it does not bottom out before the tapered face hits the socket. It is realy quit simple if you think abought it.
