Got the roof on today after a couple of days of replacing short cuts which weren't. Very bumpy learning curve on this baby! 21 hours so far (see Solitarry costs-hours-weights for blog in files section) including fixing stuff ups, but excluding thinking and talking time, of which there has been a heap. Have to lock the door to keep visitors to a minimum.

Pics in the photos section. Light and dust combined to make them pretty crappy, but you can get the general idea. Next job is router rounding the deck/sides join. I will clean up and take some more pics then. Still no bog or tools required apart from the cutter and the battery screwdriver, although I had to sand some foam edges today as they were hard to get to with the cutter. Clear finish is a huge challenge for a rough builder like me. Everything has to be very close to perfect or there will be a white bog patch highlighting the mistake.

Centre part of lee hull infusion tomorrow, including some 20mm thick carbon tow. I've got a few days at home, so won't be working on it again until next week when I should get the seats and door/hatch fitted. Then turn it over and there is "just" the foam bows to shape and glass and it is finished.

regards,
rob
