I'm not skilled in fluid mechanics but I'll answer anyway :) My note is more on the practical side.

If you plan to have the thruster between tandem keels they need to be deep enough to allow the propeller size plus some distance between propeller and bottom. If saildrive units allow typically maximum of 16" propellers (40 cm) and there should be minimum on 5 cm between propeller and bottom and the same between keel tip and propeller we are talking about 50 cm / 20" minimum depth for the keel.
