Just the first sheet,  the second one is well out of date, and probably wrong.  The third one is the mast co ordinates, which I though I had lost.  Ta.  I will remove pages 2 and 3 next time I update it.

There are 3 panels for the windward hull (hull/ww bench/side, bridgedeck/side, roof) and 2 for the lee hull (centre section, ends.  Both of which include the deck, pictures tomorrow or the next day).    Haven't had a bill for the lee hull panels yet, but it should be less as there only two of them.  80 hours of infusion should be close.  They are building a new,  longer table, so next time there will be 3 panels for both hulls, not 5.    There is a fair bit of material left over so the materials list is not very accurate on a day by day basis.

No idea what the rest of the boat will cost, but less than 50 grand, incl my hours and the sail would be nice.  We should do the beam in one infuse, the rudders in another and the masts in 2, so maybe a couple of grand each.  Then there is the messing about putting them together.

The roof (is that what you mean by "deck"?) is 12mm foam with 400 db glass each side.  It has a bow in it (hard to see without a straight edge, and not structural) which it would be nice to remove and it needs support if people are going to walk on it (no reason to, and they would probably slide off the ends if they did), but I will wait until the hatch panel is in before deciding what to do as it will stiffen the roof up.  One end will have an enclosed toilet, which will help a lot.

Spent 4.5 hours today rounding the deck edge and glassing it, although at least an hour was spent sorting out the router.  Next one will definitely have a DER or similar!  Almost gave up on the clear finish as well.  The care required to finish things half decently is certainly not my style.

Fast building is directly related to how much I dislike hard work.  Very glad the tabbing and glassing are now nearly finished.

Hi Rob,

I downloaded your solitarry spreadsheet again and just want to make
sure I understand it. The major question is if I should just be
looking at the first sheet in the file. There seems to be a second
sheet that references alot of stuff I don't think are from Solitarry.
Chris costs, etc. Did you mean to upload that?

On the first sheet, it looks like your materials costs so far (up to
Sept 29) are about $7000. Then about 80 hours to build 5 panels.

There seem to be more than 5 panels in the pictures, so maybe that is
out of date. It would seem that the lw hull would be 3 panels (left,
right and deck). Is the ww hull just left, right and deck?

Anyway, from the spreadsheet, it looks like the total cost up to Sept
29 is a bit over $13,000, counting your time also at $60/hr.

>From the 2nd sheet of the spreadsheet, it says "Mast and Beams total"
3352. Is that pretty much what you expect for Solitarry? Add in
rudders and more labor for finishing things and it looks like you are
heading for a budget of about $30K. Does that sound about right?

Another question: the ww deck in the pictures looks like it is just
draped over the ww hull. Is it foam, or just fiberglass? It seems too
flexible for a deck.

I am always amazed how you seem to be able to make boat building
quicker and cheaper on every boat!
