Hi,

I have uploaded my latest drawings, trying to put all the crazy ideas from the past into a single design. You will find the drawings under Gardner's layouts/Contrarry. They are folding.pdf and folding_front_and_side.pdf.

This is still a cruising harry with 2 double berths and 7x12 bridgedeck that is supposed to disassemble into a container. What I have added here is the ability to fold from 24.5' beam to 14.5' beam while on the water. The same idea could be used to fold even narrower if your ww hull assembly was not 14.5' wide like mine is.

I have also kept the boom above the hardtop, and can now work on it by raising the dinghy ramp higher off the water so that standing on the platform puts the boom within reach.

I also have quadrant mounted rudders, which lift through the square hole in the center of the quadrant, and kick up via a breakaway pin in the shaft just above the top of the rudder.

These plans are not quite as detailed as my others, since I am concentrating on the folding idea here. The main question is if beams of this shape can be made reasonably and if there will be strength or weight issues.

I am looking for feedback, as usual.

Thanks,
- Gardner
