So far so good, although the build it in one piece idea was not so hot, so I had to cut out the sheer web and will bond it in seperately.  Weighs 60 kgs, whichis almost double the single beams, but it has no carbon in it, does not need trampoline fittings and will sit against the mast rather than need fittings in the lee hull.  Not sure it is a better solution, but we shall see.

Spent the last month or so changing really good ideas (that weren't) about joining the lengths of the lee hull together for other really good ideas (that might be), moving sheds, enjoying school hols with my daughter and waiting for the infusers to get time to build the beam.  Beam is now done, but another really good idea that wasn't means it won't go together till next week.

Will put up some more pics and stuff in the next couple of days.

Looks like I will be in Chicago for a couple of days at the end of June.  How far away are you?

Hi Rob,

I was just recommending this newsgroup to a local boatbuilder, and wanted him to look at how you were building solitarry, in case he might be able to use the techniques to build my harry. I noticed that the last update date on the Solitarry 2 photo album is Feb 24th. Has there been more progress that hasn't made it to the groups, or have you become overcome by events like the rest of us?
