Thanks Mike.
I am getting a reality on the rigours of solo small boating.
Steering all day gets a strain.

Leeuwin's town: Augusta (gusty), is really lush. Green grass and trees.
It is only ?300kms South from Perth, buut loads of rain.

Should be off soon. Just about time for this low pressure system to pass eastward.
BTW I try to blog now:

Doug,

That's most impressive.  I appreciate your going out and sailing your harryproa, and then modifying it and sailing it again, while most of us debate options from our armchairs.  Nice going.

Sort of on that topic:

I just sailed around the two capes down south.
From Dunsboruogh to Augusta.
Quite exciting , but also tiring. Long day in some swell.
Cape Naturalist to cape leeuwinj in the south mark the limits of W.A.'s surf coast, including the breaks at Margaret River, the box, Yallingup and Cowarumup Bay.
Thankfully there was a place to drop hook behind cape leeuwin lighthouse, because it was dark and I was fucked.
Buut this morning I found the river entrance and found it was easily passable for multihulls. A good fun little ride in to the hardy inlet to some rest and drying shit out.
This is like Kalbarri.

Pouring with rain but inside cabin got some internet connection and making hot drinks.

PS. the sailing guides re3commend passing cape leeuwin anbout 10nm to the South.
I think I passed it about ten metrees to the south, cos I sure wasn't goin' all that long way round.
The only piss off I don't like in this small boat is a headwind.
