Hmmm... just tried it again... searched on Michlet and yes I did get stuff back in 2007.
I did some searches on the first day I joined... and only got stuff back that were very recent.  Must have done something wrong then or right now.

And I agree... if it takes any more time than he already spends on this and the BoatDesign.net.

Right now, its very difficult to follow a chain.  Some people reply and its filled with escape characters and others, wipe out the old text and change title names.  There is no cross reference trail sometimes.    Having a standard forum with threads and posts that can contain pictures and files would be easier to follow. A better interface and one directly tied to his business and used for other things like current customer questions... maybe optionally making those private between him and the customer would seem like a prudent marketing goal.

However, I don't have a clue about how much time would be added to manage something like that.  If it took a little time to set up, but was no manage time after, it would seem like a good idea.  Especially he could designate people to manage various sub forums... like they do on BoatDesign.net and thus off-load much of what he might be doing now.

Anyway... just a thought.  And again... only he can set his priorities.

go to the yahoo harryproa site and click on messages in the vertical menu on the left. there is a search box right near the top underneath the advertising. does this not work for you?

i personally would much rather have mr. denney spend his time refining the design of his boats than wasting it on hosting his own forum.
