No. All the current designers and owners reckon their boats tack under mainsail alone, so it is not a problem. ;-) Not sure a single rudder and board would be any better for turning, but would be much safer.

have you looked at the problem apparently encountered with ther Bi rigged cats thqt they don't tack easily.
I heard that a centred rudder and daggerboard help.
You could put a daggerboard up through the bridge deck OK, but the rudder would maybe not be as far aft if on the centreline.

What was the upshot on the mast deal? It sounds like there was an argument on something and it was cancelled.
It would need a netred daggerboard from what I read about the other Bi-Cat (Radical Bay).
Basically he isn't getting my message through email, so I'll have to wait till he checks his blog - or search out for an email address.
