I just realized he was someone I've just recently messaged with.  Hits close to home when you talk to someone so active and my age.

  I'll miss Robert.  I'll miss the periodic discussion of reverse sheer, high prismatic coefficient, and flare above the waterline, which was often a welcome recap (I know I repeat myself, so it was somehow comforting to see Robert do the same). 

  More importantly, I'll miss his detailed analyses and insightful suggestions, which often covered topics I wouldn't have come close to thinking of myself.

heart attack on 29th July. His comments, input and experience will be
