I am not sure if my original e-mail from last week made it as my computer crashed and I was out of one for a week

But - I would like to ask the group how feasable is to design a harry type of proa for variable depth sailing which is what I encounter her in miami

If we start with a lee hull that is a cross between Rob's and Jeremies (equilibre) - so the underwater look has some build-in long and shallow body keel like in equilibre.

Then add the two rudders at 1/3 way - but the rudder has two separate parts - the outer rudder is wide so low aspect ratio - and shallow to about 3 ft - inside the wide rudder then slide a high aspect blade that is narrower and deeper to say 6 ft.

I understand there would be parasitic drag in the juction between the wide and skinny rudder, also undertand that performance would not be as fast as Robs due to the lee hull shape - but could it work?

No reason why not.  Build one and see!
