I think it is unrealistic to try and trailer and mast lower (for bridges or trailering) something like Sidecar.
It is definitely trailable on the racing version and that is a different situation, with things like beach launches and carrying each hull around with two people - you could take that racing El anywhere.
My boat was always heavier because of the strip planking with kiri. Now it is a fair bit heavier with so many modifications and add ons in length etc.
We (me and Herb) had quite a good time getting the boat dismantled and transported.
I would say that you may be able to make a nice light foam and glass camper and try to get it trailed for a weekend of duty.
Even an hour or two of setting up could thenget you plenty sailingmiles.

With the smaller Harryproas, would a mast tabernacle work? If the mast lowered across the proa to windward the main stresses from the sails would not be compromised when the mast is up. There would be no need to remove sails when lowering the mast temporarily for bridges. The total width with mast lowered would be interesting in narrower bridges!
