That's more informative.

Now, this may seem a bit much, but if you get a hand bearing compass, you can measure wind direction within a couple of degrees, and then sail the model as close to the wind as possible while you position yourself directly in its line of travel. Then you can get a fairly accurate bearing to see how close to the wind it's sailing - hit the "scientists" with a bit of hard data.

I think the info would be useful when we're talking about different ways to deal with leeway prevention, comparing how square section hulls perform compared with leeboards and other foils, and make your model videos even more useful,
