Already been done.  There are 60'ters in Norway and Australia and a 70'ter in Portugal.  


Arguably, Gaia's Dream is a Pacific proa which has been converted to a harry.  Not sure whether the extra space or the extra righting moment were the reasons, but if he had made his windward hull a bit bigger originally, the deck house could be a lot smaller/lower.
