We could have sailed a lot faster, but we wanted to go upwind at a good angle and thats what we were doing at that moment. The wind was getting harder all the time. In the end of the day we sailed with reefed main only doing 7-8 knots upwind. It was pretty hard because of big waves. We saw that the lw-hull is wave piercing, but the beam clearance is good. We had to slow down to waves to minimze stresses form the rig. But the boat took it well. I crawled inside lw hull with a flaslight in hand and everything was allright.
I think I might like higher bows and some rocker at the ends of lw-hull.
The lw-hull dictates the ride, so ww hull is slamming on the waves every now and then. WW-hull bottom shape is quite flat actually. Kids inside the hull fly up and down but are used to it.

Regards,
Arttu
