What did you think of the boat? Hows that chine on the bottom was it obvious or did it fare n well? How low is that leepod to intended water line . To me it looks like its only a foot or so off the intended waterline mark. Man if its low its gonna bang bang bang.... I did a model with a leepod eventually ripped it off to much slapping it had about 1'- 1.5' in scale form clearance from waterline. you can see where it was in this video.

I went back and looked at a few of my deep V hulls in 32' range I refer to them as 4 sheet hull length.

I added the chine on the 32 D.V. hull where I though it should go 14'' up from keel, and widen the top part of the bow. With a displacement of around 1950 lbs at a 16'' draft I was getting about 88 sqft wetted surface area cp of around .630 . My Deep V hull same draft 16'' with out the chine displacment 1750 lb with about 99 sqft wetted surface area. cp of .670 the deep V with out chine has a narrower beam waterline width round 16'' vs the chine hull with 20-22 can't remember.

I have to say with all the models I have experimented with the one's that seem the most fun most responsive free'est and fastest where the low draft high displacement models. Except one model with the lee foil. After seeing the pacific bee videos in that light breeze and open ocean sailing just solidifies my experience thus far. I'd really like to see Gaia's Dream in a sea way.
