Cool models.  Blind date is 50'/15m.  Waterline beam 720 mm.  Would probably go better in a breeze with a longer lee hull, but light air performance would drop.  No need to go higher from any of the videos or experience so far.  Any leaner and there are structural issues.  My take?  Compared to RB it is not sailing as well.  This is not surprising as this was essentially their first sail, with novice crew and taking everything easy.    I am sure that as the crew get more experienced, the performance of the boat will get better.


The only design change I would make would be to sharpen the bow, leaving the entry angle the same.

By the way, and in the same laughing tone as your comment on the wetness of RB.  Why is the master of innovative model hulls and rigs looking at buying plans for a Madness?
