I have been looking through old emails trying to find specs on the Blind Date rudders. I found the sizes for the old ones (0.5m by 1.5m) and the new ones that were replaced with beefed up old ones (0.47m by 1.5m), but I haven't been able to find the relative positions. I know the "new" ones were on the beam, and the old ones on the hull, but I haven't been able to get the actuals positions. By measuring the rendering of Blind Date on the harryproa web site, I *think* that the old rudders were about 2.8m back from the bows, and the beams were 5.2m back from the bows, but those are wild estimates.

It took me a while to get a single rudder working on El. Definitely
something to try on the bigger ones. First off the wind, where the
difference in speed and bow attitude was really noticable on El.

Nol,
Agree about 2 rudders for maneuvering, etc being really handy.
Something else to video is crabbing sideways off the jetty when the
wind is blowing you onto it, and see how sharp the boat will turn
under power.
Carlos,
Pretty easy to do, but the loads when the rudders are up get very large.
