For the cruiser, our design criteria are the ability to sail rough coastal conditions, expect daily 20+ knots and 6-8' swell with wind chop. Then - do it in comfort for 4 adults and 2 kids for up to a week at a time on the hook. Not crossing oceans. My Contour 34 is too small to berth 4 adults, and doesn't have a protected helm.

Also - I'd love to have a little ripper to challenge the Nacra F20Cs around point to point courses.
