Nick, Luc,
Ta.  The mast pivots at 33%, which is the widest point.  It allows a simple box section spar.  Downside is that the wing on it's own may not feather.  With the sail on it, this is not a problem.  In all other circumstances, it will be held in place, so should not be a problem then either.

The mast is offset in an oversize top bearing to move the coe of the rig forward to reduce sheeting loads.

Rick,
Pretty much as easy as it looks.  Folding the deck on the lee hull near the mast took a bit of strapping as there is a lot of laminate on the edge, but the rest of the folding was very easy.  The bows are a bit tricky as the builder thought he had a system (he didn't), but glassed over polystyrene, as per the plans, is very simple.

You are not the only one waiting for it to sail!  Has been 18 months so far for a job which should have taken 3.

Interesting data from Pecadillo.  Puts the Melbourne 18m harry performance a bit more into perspective.  Any progress on the bows or the sails?

Rob
