You're right!
Kind of like a schooner rig with two hard wing sails, but with a
single mast that turns them both at once. It even has the
possibility of vertical lift if you shape the foil right at the
top. Reefing becomes mostly a matter of fine-tuning the angle --
straight-on there's no lift and little drag. The biggest challenge
might be in figuring out how to keep that "reefed" angle when moored
in a storm.
I'd love to see a full-sized version built.
