Wind speed last Friday was quite strong at times and variable but mostly in the range 15 to 20kts.  The bay had waves to about 1.5m.  This is the heaviest conditions we have had the proa in so far:

We sailed with a flattening reef.  All of the video was taken sailing between 70 and 80 degrees to true wind.  The best speed captured is 13kts; most of it is 11 to 12 knots.  We would need to sail freer to get the top speed in the conditions.

There were a few times when the bow of the ww hull flicked a bit of spray up but most of the time the deck was dry.
