Eric is a very smart bloke, but is still figuring out the low cost part of unstayed masts.

Infusion is very simple.  After your first couple of goes you will be an expert.  Make the first one a flat sheet 6 inches smaller all round than the sheet of glass.  You will find a use for it somewhere.    If you stuff it up and none of us can tell you what you are doing wrong, then attend a workshop.  Of course, if you want to meet a living legend and learn about hull shaping, it will be the best $500 you have ever spent.

You are not the only one who does not know about telescoping masts!  I stuffed up my first one (interestingly, it was the difference between bending a short piece of foam/glass and a long one), am waiting for inspiration on how to fix it, or some money so I can ditch it and start again.

Roller furling booms may be unnecessary complexity for such a small sail, but if you can think of a way to do it that is compact and does not interfere with the boom/mast set up, I am all ears.
