I found the GPS and downloaded the data:

First part is the build up to the best power we could get of 2800W.  Peak speed was 7.3kph.  We then let the batteries recover briefly and tried again.  The drooping speed reflects the battery voltage drop so we pulled it back to 2000W which gave 6.4kph.  After that we settled on 1000W, which gave 5kph.  Toward the end we decided there was probably enough battery left to get back onto the mooring so dropped power down below 1000W to make certain.


Once the demand on the batteries was down to about 20A they held up quite well.  However pulling any faster than a 10 hour rate from a lead/acid battery really reduces capacity.

We are looking forward to doing test with some good lithium cells.
