The rig for my 15m Solitarry hulls was put on hold when the builder got another one to build (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j5idbIo19jA&feature=youtu.be).  Progress on this has halted for various reasons not related to either the owner or me.   So nothing to report.

The shed in which I intend to build the top section of El's telescoping mast will be available "soon".

I have just finished the design of a 10m/33' camper which will be infused in mdf moulds.  For narrow hulls this is even easier than building on a table as the bulkheads, beam and mast beefing up can all be installed before joining.  This boat wil be built in Brisbane.

Current design project is a flat panel Vis, which will start, with my help, in Feb next year.  This will use a combination of the flat panel and simple mould techniques, both infused.  This boat has a 3m catamaran dinghy which I am building in the garage to experiment with various infusion short cuts and speed up the assembly of the panels.   Will post pictures as it happens.

When not "harrying", I am selling carbon spars for Etamax.  Just launched the Toro cat in Canada.  We got this job despite the high Aussie dollar and the cost of shipping to Canada.  Couple of pics at http://www.boatdesign.net/forums/multihulls/17-meter-longer-wingmast-section-carbon-42797.html    This business is going gangbusters, we are booked up until the middle of next year, including 7 unstayed wing masts with hinges just above the boom to allow them to be dropped for bridges etc.  These are for 40-46'/12-14m cats.

Also playing with electric boats with the local university.  Mk 1 was tested yesterday just to see what works and what doesn't.  3 knots in a 3m/10' alloy dinghy with 2 fat fellows on board, which is not bad for tiny motors with lousy props.   The professor I am helping has a very impressive record of getting ideas commercialised.  At our first meeting, I am talking about finding a broken outboard and mounting an electric motor on it, he is talking about which factory in China will mass produce them.  Fun discussions.  ;-)

Any questions, let me know.

Rob, how about an update on the flat-panel project?

Inquiring minds want to know ;-)

Soon.  The update is a favour to me, so I am not rushing him.  The bits I have seen look good.  If there is anything specific you want from the old site, let me know and I will see if I can get it.
