I am always surprised of the amount of French sailors that still depend on skulls. Many diehards still believe an engine is 'unreliable' and will sail or skull (like the junk) fairly large boats into a harbor.
2 sculling spots mid beam may be a good and simple last resort on the smaller Harrys. (It is actually quite fun once you get the hang of it).
