Robin,
Thanks for the update.
I hadn't looked at the details on the planesail site for a long
time, plus I'm not interested in the boat, so I didn't visit the
"for sale" page and catch the detail that "She was operated as a
Mecal certified charter sailing vessel for disabled passengers till
2004, when she lost her Wingsail rig". Talk about dropping a
bombshell without any explanation...
<<sorry if this blows the wind out of your hard sails. ;-)>>
Ouch!

It's great to see the Luca Antara coming together. I like the
latest post: "had sailmaker in to measure for 2 sails at 60 m2
each". Wow.

Mike/Gardner,
Planesail was in Alvor, Portugal about 6 months ago and I think still is; minus wing sails, and for sale. If you go to the link in your email you should see a for sale tab with some info.
The owner told me he had made investigations about installing a wing mast and soft sail (one of his consultations was with Peter at Etamax, same guy who designed mine), before his decision to sell, maybe due to lack of funds. He didn't tell me why she lost her wing sails in 2004..........sorry if this blows the wind out of your hard sails. ;-)
Cheers,
