Thank you for your explanation David. I tried to run the right animation in my head following your instructions. I have the impression the parameters define the more classic vis-like HP. 

What about a flat bottom hull with slight pitch up some ways from the bows, as I believe Rick suggested for some lift and can be seen on the side view of the Peruvian vis lee hull?
What about the Norwegian style ww hull (on harryproa.com) with the sharp front seam retreating inward from some ways off the bow top on ? 
I suppose the top and bottom of the bows are the most demanding to "wrap". As the bows are essentially hand carved anyway as extensions of the hull surfaces, could one not exclude them from the modeling and allow or a simplification of the technique used or adding a degree of freedom which otherwise would be prohibitive?
