I was asked to do a concept design for a harryproa for The Race.  I knew Nigel from the Rond Britain (he was the only designer to have a look at the pretty radical cat we sailed) and rang him to see if he would like to be involved. "you must be nuts, it will never work' was his comment.    He is obviously a genius and does great work, but is maybe not ready for proas yet.  ;-)

On another note, my apologies for neglecting the forum lately. There is plenty happening, but  I have been involved in a couple of projects which I don't want to talk about until they are nearer fruition.  Will let you know when this happens.

If one considers the main theme of the tribute to Nigel Irens (lengthen that hull!) and the spectrum of boats he has designed how come he did not do any proa's (I know of)?
