interesting ideas, Luc.  Have to think about that.  As far as I can see from the vid of the Sol building, the bunks (and their enclosure) are above the level of the racing hull deck, so they could be added on top as you suggest, as could the cockpit seats.  It will be a bit heavier tho (both ends on), so a bit slower in light air.   In heavier air, assuming the same boat width,  the load on the beams, mast etc. will be higher, but maybe not so much.  Maybe Rob can comment on this.

I guess care also must be taken to avoid unnecessary air drag not to affect upwind performance too much.

Of course, if you need only one double bunk and cockpit seats, a different arrangement may be found, combining the two?

As for shunting the one-ended accomodation altogether, I do not know how to accomplish that easily.
