How sensitive are foils to denting in the leading despite a kick-up?
With the front foiler on the beam one could install a "feeler" close to the bow and have the foil kick up before it would hit a mass in the water. This would mean two sets of foils. I guess the bow should be sized to soften the sudden nose dive. Would such a bow be good enough to protect against a bow over ... This may turn out to generate a dizzying design spiral.
