Heavy wind conditions. In a serious squall the attentive sailor or the armed capzise prevention device feathers the single main. In reefing, the line gets stuck in the tip of the wishbone. What is the preferred course of action?

Release the main sheet and the boat will come to no harm.  Then lower the mainsail (very easy as it is pointing directly into the wind) and pull it inboard so you can clear the jammed line.  Rehoist the mainsail and continue sailing.  Replace or add spacers to the sheave in the end of the wishbone as soon as possible.  With the single line reefing system, there is much less likely to be problems with the end of boom sheave than there is with multiple lines and sheaves.
