I need to apologize for the misunderstanding. I was envisioning a different hull shape than the actual hull shape. It didn't even occur to me that the hull shapes have evolved over time. Mea Culpa.

I also probably over responded, because I have been involved in aviation issues on this same subject that people died because of.  Critical foil canards, that lost lift when they got rained on. Vortex generators that actually worked, but brought the lift too far aft....

Sorry for the confusion and any hard feelings I caused.
