Definition of concavity-  a shape that is curved inward


The keel line of the pictured hull has inward curves in the bow and the stern - clearly obvious by the slope of the bottom to the water line:

Some classes of boats like racing kayaks specifically prohibit concavity because it is viewed, rightly, as giving an unfair advantage.  The endurance races my designs enter do not have class restrictions so they can be the lowest possible drag.
