I have some that makers claim they can be walked on but I would not do that in high heels.

If they are purchased in quantity of a kW or more the purchase cost can be negotiated lower and there can be large saving on transport.  I have seen sale lots of 10 x 100W landed in Australia for just under AUD2/W at retail price.

The fellow building the E-340 solar boat got 5kW of semi-flexible panels in a lot in the USA for USD4700.  He since recovered a good part of the total cost onselling 2.5kW of them.
