Well yes,
after some research I can see it is not an uncommon problem. It seems to be best approached with some form of retractable mount that goes somewhat deeper than for monohull boats. Among the solutions there is a hinged sled with the motor attached on the opposite end to the hinge via a conventional mount. Not unlike a somewhat slimmer HP dingy ramp with an outboard on the end, but facing the other way and close to the WW hull.

That would allow the engine to be tilted out of the water as we expect with outboard installations, and in keeping with bridgedeck clearance the ramp articulated back up under the deck.
