2250 hrs is little more than a years work for one man.
I guess the techniques and indeed the design path shows improvement over time. Just like the LW hulls are now laid out of a single panel joined in the centre at the top, dispensing with the moulds and formers to make 2 halves, cut off the excess and clean off the waste. The most recent HP 60 has those boxier cabin roofs on the WW hull, dispensing with all those complex curves that were negotiated with the strip plank hulls which would have been troublesome to negotiate.
