The Farrier is a good benchmark to take. Can the advantages of a HP without the convenience of the FFS be competitive with a Farrier tri?

If we cannot beat it what about joining it? What needs to be changed to a F boat to make it a HP?
- replace one ama with a lw hull
- replace the other ama with a ww hull
- switch the rig to the lw hull
OK, that was the easy part ;-)
- keep only the deck structure of the tri center hull with the beam attachment mechanism and convert it to a central toybox for the HP (easy in photoshop ;-)

I imagine three folding positions:
- fully folded out (FFO) would be just the HP config on the waterplane;
- half folded out (HFO) would be the toybox lowered in the water and stabilized by the partially canted hulls and be a tri on the waterplane (for in a slip)
- fully folded in (FFI) would raise the toybox above the fully canted hulls and would be a cat on the waterplane (and used for trailering).
The folding operations would certainly not be as straigthforward as for the F boat. Lowering the toybox into the water for HFO or raising it above the hulls in FFI would require winches.
Another major disadvantage would be to have the interior of the ww hull canted at about 30 degrees when in a slip at HFO. Can a clever interior design not overcome that?
Does the extra weight compared to a "regular" HP jeopardize the HP advantage?
