Can you explain that a little more?  A cut off on a double elliptical? I think you mean a Spitfire tip.  Part of my dilemma is that with the symmetrical foils I am getting exactly the same lift at the tip..  And when the apparent wind kicks in I am going to get a higher angle of attack at the tip and even more lift....  Raising my CoE

Right now I am thinking a NACA 0024 airfoil at the base going down to a 0015 at the tip with vortex generators on either side at apx 30% of the chord and I believe the aerodynamic center is at 25%
